Robert Fildes, Ph.D. (Chairman)
Dr. Fildes currently serves as President of SB2 Inc. Dr. Fildes has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector, including terms as President & CEO of Cetus Corporation, President of Biogen Inc., and Vice President of Operations for the Industrial Division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He is currently a director on numerous boards of publicly and privately traded biotechnology companies. Dr. Fildes holds a D.C.C. degree in Microbial Biochemistry as well as a Ph.D. in Biochemical Genetics from the University of London.


Michael J. Abrams, Ph.D., President & CEO

Dr. Abrams was appointed as President and CEO of Inimex in November 2009. Dr. Abrams was the founding CEO of AnorMED, Inc and led that company as President and CEO for ten years. AnorMED discovered and developed Mozobil, a drug for improving stem cell mobilization for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. Mozobil was approved by FDA in 2008 and AnorMED was acquired by Genzyme Corp. in 2006 for $580M. Prior to AnorMED, Abrams was Manager Biomedical Research for Johnson Matthey, plc where he led the spin-off of the biomedical research group to form AnorMED. Abrams has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Chemistry from Bowdoin College. In 2009 he was a co-recipient of the Georg Charles de Hevesy Nuclear Pioneer Award from the Society of Nuclear Medicine for his work in the invention of the radiopharmaceutical, Cardiolite.


Pat Brady, M.B.A.
Mr. Brady is Vice President Investments, Life Sciences at Growthworks Capital. He joined Growthworks in 1998 with eight years of business and consulting experience with emerging companies. He was heavily involved in taking two companies public - one TSE listed and one listed on the NASDAQ. Mr. Brady has an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He sits on the boards of Celator Technologies Inc., NeuroMed Technologies, NeuroStream Technologies, Protiva Biotherapeutics, and Twinstrand Therapeutics.

Brenda Irwin, M.B.A.
Ms. Irwin is Director, Venture Capital for BDC Venture Capital. Her focus is on biotechnology investments. Her approach is largely the result of an initial career in the computer industry as marketing manager for a national distributor and her experience as science educator for the North York Board of Education. Eight years of professional leadership paved the way to becoming an investment professional. She participates as guest speaker at life sciences and high tech conferences. Ms. Irwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph and an M.B.A from the University of British Columbia.

Stephanie Monaghan O’Brien, Esq.

Ms. O'Brien is the representative for Morningside. Ms. O’Brien has extensive experience working with venture backed life science and technology companies. She focuses on early stage companies, working with CEOs on building the management team and developing business plans. She currently serves on several private company boards, including Inimex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Alacer Biomedical, Inc., BiddingForGood, Inc., and Natural Polymer International Corp. She received her A.B., cum laude, from Harvard College and her J.D. from New York University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Stephanie worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A, where she completed the loan officer credit training program and then worked in international portfolio analysis. After law school, Stephanie spent nine years as a corporate lawyer with Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale) in both the Boston and Washington, D.C. offices, working in venture capital finance and start-up companies, primarily biotechnology companies.
